Orange.fr mails orange

A classic example of a domain name system (DNS) query!

When you type orange.fr in your browser's address bar, your device sends a DNS query to a DNS resolver (usually provided by your internet service provider or operating system) to resolve the domain name to an IP address.

The DNS resolver sends a query to a root DNS server, which directs the query to a .fr (France) top-level domain (TLD) name server. The .fr name server then responds with the IP address of the orange.fr domain, which is 212.27.40.10.

The DNS resolver then caches the IP address and returns it to your device, allowing you to access the orange.fr website.

So, in summary, when you type orange.fr, your device sends a DNS query to resolve the domain name to an IP address, which is then used to access the website.
