Outlook 2017 hotmail contacts

A blast from the past!

Outlook 2017 is an older version of Microsoft Outlook, and it's still possible to access your Hotmail contacts within it. Here's how:

Method 1: Importing Hotmail contacts into Outlook 2017

  1. Open Outlook 2017 and go to the "File" menu.
  2. Click on "Open & Export" and then select "Import/Export".
  3. Choose "Import from another program or file" and click "Next".
  4. Select "Hotmail" as the file type and click "Next".
  5. Enter your Hotmail email address and password, and click "Next".
  6. Choose the contacts you want to import and click "Finish".

Method 2: Linking your Hotmail account to Outlook 2017

  1. Open Outlook 2017 and go to the "File" menu.
  2. Click on "Account Settings" and then select "Manage Profiles".
  3. Click on "Show Profiles" and then select "Add".
  4. Choose "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next".
  5. Select "Hotmail" as the email service and click "Next".
  6. Enter your Hotmail email address and password, and click "Next".
  7. Choose the account type (POP or IMAP) and click "Finish".
  8. Go back to the "Account Settings" window and select your Hotmail account.
  9. Click on "Change" next to "Contact" and select "Link to Outlook Contacts".

Once you've linked your Hotmail account to Outlook 2017, your Hotmail contacts should be synced with your Outlook contacts. You can then access them by going to the "Contacts" folder in Outlook.

Note that if you're using a newer version of Outlook, such as Outlook 2019 or Outlook 365, the process might be slightly different.
