Outlook email address settings
Here are the common Outlook email address settings:
Incoming Mail Server (IMAP/POP3)
- Server Name: outlook.office365.com (for Office 365 accounts) or imap.outlook.com (for Outlook.com accounts)
- Port: 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP3)
- Encryption: SSL/TLS
- Username: Your full Outlook email address (e.g., [yourname]@outlook.com)
- Password: Your Outlook email account password
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
- Server Name: smtp.office365.com (for Office 365 accounts) or smtp.outlook.com (for Outlook.com accounts)
- Port: 587 (TLS) or 25 (unencrypted)
- Encryption: TLS
- Username: Your full Outlook email address (e.g., [yourname]@outlook.com)
- Password: Your Outlook email account password
Additional Settings
- Authentication: Use the same username and password for both incoming and outgoing servers.
- Leave a copy of messages on the server: This setting allows you to keep a copy of your emails on the server, so you can access them from multiple devices.
- Check for new messages every: Set the interval at which Outlook checks for new emails (e.g., every 5 minutes).
IMAP Settings (if using IMAP)
- IMAP Path Prefix: Leave this blank.
- Use SSL to connect to the server: Enable this option to use SSL encryption when connecting to the IMAP server.
POP3 Settings (if using POP3)
