Ox mail webcentral

A blast from the past!

Ox Mail WebCentral was a web-based email client provided by BT (British Telecom) in the UK. It was launched in the late 1990s and was popular among BT customers, especially those who didn't have a dedicated email client installed on their computers.

Ox Mail WebCentral allowed users to access their email accounts online, using a web browser. It featured a simple and intuitive interface, with basic email functionality such as sending, receiving, and organizing emails.

Some of the key features of Ox Mail WebCentral included:

  1. Web-based access: Users could access their email accounts from any device with a web browser, without the need for a dedicated email client.
  2. Simple interface: The interface was easy to use, with a minimalistic design that made it easy to navigate and manage emails.
  3. Basic email functionality: Ox Mail WebCentral supported basic email features such as sending, receiving, and organizing emails, as well as attachments and forwarding.
  4. Integration with BT services: As a BT-provided service, Ox Mail WebCentral was tightly integrated with other BT services, such as broadband and phone services.

However, Ox Mail WebCentral was eventually phased out and replaced by other email services, such as BT Mail and later, Microsoft Outlook.com. While it's no longer available, Ox Mail WebCentral remains a nostalgic reminder of the early days of web-based email.
