Place us mail on hold
To place your US Mail on hold, you'll need to contact the United States Postal Service (USPS) directly. Here are the steps:
Option 1: Online Hold
- Go to the USPS website at usps.com.
- Click on "Hold Mail" at the top of the page.
- Sign in to your USPS account or create one if you don't have one.
- Enter your name, address, and the dates you'd like to hold your mail.
- Review and confirm your request.
Option 2: Phone Hold
- Call the USPS Customer Service number at 1-800-275-8777.
- Tell the representative you'd like to place your mail on hold.
- Provide your name, address, and the dates you'd like to hold your mail.
- The representative will assist you with the hold request.
Option 3: In-Person Hold
- Visit your local post office.
- Inform the postal clerk that you'd like to place your mail on hold.
- Provide your name, address, and the dates you'd like to hold your mail.
- The clerk will assist you with the hold request.
Important Notes:
- You can place a hold on your mail for up to 30 days.
- You can only place a hold on your mail if you're the account holder or authorized representative.
