To place a mail hold with the United States Postal Service (USPS), you can follow these steps:

Online:

1. Go to the USPS website at usps.com.
2. Click on "Hold Mail" under the "Mail & Ship" tab.
3. Sign in to your USPS account or create one if you don't have one already.
4. Enter your name, address, and the dates you'd like to hold your mail (up to 30 days).
5. Review and confirm your request.

By Phone:

1. Call the USPS Customer Service number at 1-800-275-8777.
2. Tell the representative you'd like to place a mail hold and provide your name, address, and the dates you'd like to hold your mail.
3. They'll confirm your request and provide a confirmation number.

In Person:

1. Visit your local post office.
2. Let the postal clerk know you'd like to place a mail hold and provide your name, address, and the dates you'd like to hold your mail.
3. They'll assist you with the process and provide a confirmation number.

Note:

• Mail holds can be placed up to 30 days in advance.
• You can cancel or modify your mail hold at any time by contacting USPS.
• If you're going to be away for an extended period, you may want to consider forwarding your mail instead of holding it.
