Pop settings on gmail for other domain email

To set up POP settings on Gmail for an email account from another domain, you'll need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Enable POP in your other email account

  1. Log in to your other email account (e.g., [username]@example.com).
  2. Look for the settings or options section (this might be labeled as "Settings," "Options," or "Account Settings").
  3. Click on the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" or "POP/IMAP" tab.
  4. Enable POP (Post Office Protocol) for your account. This will allow Gmail to retrieve your emails from your other account.

Step 2: Set up POP in Gmail

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
  3. Go to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
  4. Click on "Add a POP3 mail account you own" or "Add a POP3 account" (depending on your Gmail version).
  5. Enter the following information:
    • Email address: Your other email address (e.g., [username]@example.com).
    • POP server: The POP server for your other email account (this might be the same as the SMTP server, but it's usually different). You can find this information in your other email account's settings or by contacting their support team.
    • Port: The POP port number (usually 110 or 995).
    • Username: Your other email address (e.g., [username]@example.com).
    • Password: Your password for your other email account.
  6. Click "Add account" to save the settings.

Step 3: Configure POP settings in Gmail

  1. Go back to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
  2. Click on the "Edit info" link next to your other email account.
  3. In the "POP3" section, select the following options:
    • "Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server" (this will allow you to keep a copy of the emails on your other account's server).
    • "Expunge deleted messages" (this will remove deleted emails from your other account's server).
  4. Click "Save Changes" to save the settings.

That's it! Your Gmail account should now be set up to retrieve emails from your other email account using POP.
