The joys of tracking your mail!
The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers a mail tracking service that allows you to monitor the status of your packages and mail. Here's how to use it:
Tracking a Package:
- Go to the USPS website (www.usps.com) and click on "Track & Confirm" at the top of the page.
- Enter your tracking number (also known as an Intelligent Mail barcode) in the "Track Package" box.
- Click "Track" to view the status of your package.
Tracking a Mailpiece:
- Go to the USPS website and click on "Track & Confirm" at the top of the page.
- Enter your mailpiece tracking number (also known as a barcode) in the "Track Package" box.
- Click "Track" to view the status of your mailpiece.
What You Can Track:
- Packages sent via Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, and First Class Package Service
- Mailpieces sent via First Class Mail, Standard Mail, and Periodicals
- International packages and mailpieces
Tracking Information:
When you track your mail, you'll see the following information:
- Delivery status: "In Transit," "Out for Delivery," "Delivered," or "Undeliverable"
- Estimated delivery date
- Scanned images of your mailpiece at various points in its journey
- Any issues or exceptions that may have occurred during transit
Tips and Tricks:
- Make sure to enter your tracking number correctly to ensure accurate tracking results.
- If you're tracking a package, you can also use the "Estimated Delivery Date" feature to get an estimated delivery date.
- If you're tracking a mailpiece, you can use the "Delivery Confirmation" feature to confirm delivery.
