Postcard bulk mail rate
The joys of sending postcards in bulk!
In the United States, the bulk mail rate for postcards is known as Nonprofit Standard Mail (NPSM) or Standard Mail (SM) for commercial mailers. Here are the current rates:
Nonprofit Standard Mail (NPSM) Rates:
- Postcards (3.5 x 5 inches or larger):
- Up to 50,000 pieces: $0.145 per piece
- 50,001 to 100,000 pieces: $0.135 per piece
- 100,001 to 200,000 pieces: $0.125 per piece
- Over 200,000 pieces: $0.115 per piece
Standard Mail (SM) Rates:
- Postcards (3.5 x 5 inches or larger):
- Up to 50,000 pieces: $0.165 per piece
- 50,001 to 100,000 pieces: $0.155 per piece
- 100,001 to 200,000 pieces: $0.145 per piece
- Over 200,000 pieces: $0.135 per piece
To qualify for the nonprofit rate, your organization must be a 501(c)(3) organization or a qualified nonprofit organization. You'll need to obtain a permit from the USPS and use a specific permit number on your mailpieces.
For commercial mailers, the standard mail rate applies. You can use the USPS's online postage calculator or consult with a mailing service provider to determine the best rate for your specific mailing needs.
