Preview downloads in yahoo mail

A useful feature!

In Yahoo Mail, you can preview downloads before they are saved to your computer. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
  2. Open the email that contains the attachment you want to preview.
  3. Click on the attachment to download it.
  4. Instead of saving the file to your computer, you'll see a preview of the file in the "Download" window.
  5. You can then choose to:
    • Save the file to your computer by clicking "Save" or "Save As".
    • Cancel the download by clicking "Cancel".
    • Preview the file in the browser by clicking "View" (this will open the file in a new tab or window).

Note that not all file types can be previewed in this way. Some files, such as executable files or compressed files, may not be previewable.

Additionally, you can also use the "Quick View" feature in Yahoo Mail to preview attachments without downloading them. To do this:

  1. Open the email that contains the attachment you want to preview.
  2. Click on the attachment to open the "Quick View" window.
  3. You'll see a preview of the file, and you can choose to:
    • Save the file to your computer by clicking "Save" or "Save As".
    • Cancel the download by clicking "Cancel".
    • Go back to the email by clicking "Back to Email".

The "Quick View" feature is available for most file types, including images, documents, and videos.
