To set up ProSites email in Outlook, you'll need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Set up your ProSites email account

  1. Go to your ProSites dashboard and navigate to the "Email" tab.
  2. Click on "Set up email" and follow the prompts to create a new email account or connect an existing one.
  3. Note down your email address, password, and IMAP/SMTP settings.

Step 2: Set up Outlook

  1. Open Outlook and go to "File" > "Add Account".
  2. Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next".
  3. Choose "POP or IMAP" and click "Next".
  4. Enter the following information:
    • Your Name: Your name as you want it to appear in emails.
    • Email Address: Your ProSites email address.
    • Account Type: IMAP (if you want to sync your emails across devices) or POP (if you only want to access your emails on one device).
    • Incoming mail server: The IMAP/POP server provided by ProSites (usually in the format of imap.yourdomain.com or pop.yourdomain.com).
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): The SMTP server provided by ProSites (usually in the format of smtp.yourdomain.com).
    • Port: 143 (IMAP) or 110 (POP) for incoming mail, and 587 (SMTP) for outgoing mail.
    • Username: Your ProSites email address.
    • Password: Your ProSites email password.
  5. Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup.

Step 3: Configure Outlook settings

  1. Go to "File" > "Account Settings" > "Account" > "Change".
  2. Under "More Settings", click on the "Outgoing Server" tab.
  3. Check the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".
  4. Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".
  5. Click "OK" to save the changes.

Step 4: Test your email setup

  1. Send an email to yourself from another email account to test the setup.
  2. Check your ProSites email account in Outlook to ensure that the email has been received and is properly formatted.
