Proton mail email alias

ProtonMail allows you to create email aliases, which are also known as "catch-all" addresses or "forwarding" addresses. An email alias is an additional email address that forwards emails to your primary ProtonMail address.

Here's how to create an email alias in ProtonMail:

  1. Log in to your ProtonMail account.
  2. Click on the "Settings" icon (represented by a gear) in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Click on "Email Addresses" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Click on the "Add Email Address" button.
  5. Enter the alias email address you want to create (e.g., [email protected]).
  6. Choose the "Forward to" option and select your primary ProtonMail address from the dropdown menu.
  7. Click "Add" to create the alias.

Once you've created an email alias, any emails sent to that alias will be forwarded to your primary ProtonMail address. You can also use email aliases to:

Note that email aliases are not the same as email filters or auto-responders. Email aliases forward emails to your primary address, while filters and auto-responders process emails based on specific rules or conditions.

Also, keep in mind that ProtonMail has a limit on the number of email aliases you can create, which is currently set at 10. If you need more aliases, you can consider upgrading to a paid plan or using a third-party email service that offers more alias options.
