The PSU Webmail setup page!

To set up your PSU Webmail account, follow these steps:

Step 1: Access the PSU Webmail login page

  1. Go to webmail.psu.edu in your web browser.
  2. Click on the "Login" button.

Step 2: Enter your PSU Webmail credentials

  1. Enter your Penn State University (PSU) username (e.g., abc123) in the "Username" field.
  2. Enter your PSU password in the "Password" field.
  3. Click on the "Login" button.

Step 3: Set up your account

  1. Once logged in, you'll be taken to your PSU Webmail inbox.
  2. Click on the "Settings" icon (looks like a gear) in the top right corner of the page.
  3. Click on "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Update your account settings as needed, such as:
    • Changing your password
    • Setting up two-factor authentication (2FA)
    • Configuring your email forwarding settings
    • Setting up your email signature

Step 4: Configure your email client

  1. To set up your PSU Webmail account on your email client (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird), you'll need to configure the account settings.
  2. For Microsoft Outlook, follow these steps:
    • Open Outlook and go to "File" > "Add Account".
    • Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next".
    • Select "POP or IMAP" and click "Next".
    • Enter the following settings:
      • Server: webmail.psu.edu
      • Port: 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP3)
      • Username: your PSU username
      • Password: your PSU password
    • Click "Next" and then "Finish".
  3. For Mozilla Thunderbird, follow these steps:
    • Open Thunderbird and go to "File" > "New" > "Email Account".
    • Enter the following settings:
      • Your Name: your name
      • Email Address: your PSU email address
      • Server: webmail.psu.edu
      • Port: 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP3)
      • Username: your PSU username
      • Password: your PSU password
    • Click "Next" and then "Finish".
