Pull back email in outlook
To pull back an email in Outlook, you can use the "Undo Send" feature. Here's how:
Method 1: Using the "Undo Send" feature
- Open Outlook and go to the "Sent Items" folder.
- Find the email you want to pull back and right-click on it.
- Select "Undo Send" from the context menu.
- If the email has been sent within the last 30 seconds, you should see a prompt asking if you want to undo the send. Click "Yes" to pull the email back.
Method 2: Using the "Recall This Message" feature
- Open Outlook and go to the "Sent Items" folder.
- Find the email you want to pull back and right-click on it.
- Select "Recall This Message" from the context menu.
- In the "Recall This Message" dialog box, select the option to "Delete unread copies of this message" and click "OK".
- If the recipient has already read the email, you may not be able to recall it. However, if the email is still unread, it should be deleted from their inbox.
Note: The "Undo Send" and "Recall This Message" features only work if the email has been sent within a short period of time (usually 30 seconds). If the email has been sent and the recipient has already read it, you may not be able to pull it back.
Additional tips:
- If you're using Outlook 2013 or later, you can also use the "Quick Steps" feature to recall an email. To do this, go to the "Home" tab, click on the "Quick Steps" button, and select "Recall This Message".
- If you're using Outlook 2010 or earlier, you can use the "Workaround" feature to recall an email. To do this, go to the "Home" tab, click on the "Workaround" button, and select "Recall This Message".
- Keep in mind that recalling an email is not always possible, and it's not a foolproof method. It's always a good idea to double-check the email before sending it to make sure it's accurate and complete.
