Recall email from apple mail

The nostalgia!

To recall an email sent from Apple Mail, you can use the "Undo Send" feature, which is available in macOS High Sierra (10.13) and later versions. Here's how:

  1. Open Apple Mail and go to the "Mail" menu.
  2. Select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click on the "General" tab.
  4. Check the box next to "Enable Undo Send" under the "Sending Mail" section.
  5. Set the "Undo Send" time limit to a duration that suits you (e.g., 5 seconds, 15 seconds, or 1 minute).

Once you've enabled "Undo Send," you can recall an email by following these steps:

  1. Open Apple Mail and go to the "Mail" menu.
  2. Select "Undo Send" from the dropdown menu.
  3. A dialog box will appear, asking if you want to undo the last send operation. Click "Undo" to recall the email.

Note that "Undo Send" only works if the recipient has not yet opened the email. If the recipient has already opened the email, you won't be able to recall it.

If you're using an earlier version of macOS, you can try using third-party email clients or plugins that offer recall features. However, these may not be compatible with all email providers or services.
