Recall email on mac
The joys of trying to recall an email on a Mac!
To recall an email on a Mac, you'll need to use the "Undo Send" feature in the Mail app. Here's how:
Method 1: Using the "Undo Send" feature
- Open the Mail app and go to the "Sent" folder.
- Find the email you want to recall and click on it.
- Click on the "Edit" menu and select "Undo Send" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Z).
- If the email has already been sent, you'll see a warning message. Click "Undo" to recall the email.
Method 2: Using the "Recall" feature
- Open the Mail app and go to the "Sent" folder.
- Find the email you want to recall and click on it.
- Click on the "Message" menu and select "Recall This Message" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + R).
- If the email has already been sent, you'll see a warning message. Click "Recall" to recall the email.
Important notes:
- The "Undo Send" feature only works if you've enabled it in your Mail settings. To do this, go to Mail > Preferences > General and check the box next to "Enable Undo Send".
- The "Recall" feature only works if the recipient has not yet opened the email.
- If the email has already been read or replied to, it's unlikely that you'll be able to recall it.
- Some email providers, such as Gmail, may not support email recall.
