Here are some key features and tips for using Outlook 2019:
Navigation
- The Outlook window is divided into three main sections: the Navigation Pane, the Folder Pane, and the Reading Pane.
- The Navigation Pane shows a list of your email accounts, calendars, contacts, and tasks.
- The Folder Pane shows a list of your email folders, such as Inbox, Sent Items, and Deleted Items.
- The Reading Pane shows the content of the selected email message.
Composing and Sending Emails
- To compose a new email, click on the "New Email" button in the Home tab or press Ctrl+N.
- In the "To" field, enter the email addresses of the recipients.
- In the "Subject" field, enter a brief summary of the email.
- In the "Message" field, type the body of the email.
- You can format the text using the tools in the Home tab, such as bold, italic, and underline.
- To attach a file, click on the "Attach File" button and select the file from your computer.
- To send the email, click on the "Send" button or press Ctrl+Enter.
Managing Emails
- To delete an email, select it and press the Delete key or right-click and select "Delete".
- To move an email to a different folder, select it and drag it to the desired folder or right-click and select "Move to Folder".
- To mark an email as read or unread, select it and click on the "Read" or "Unread" button in the Home tab.
- To flag an email, select it and click on the "Flag" button in the Home tab.
Calendar
- To open the calendar, click on the "Calendar" button in the Navigation Pane or press Ctrl+2.
- To create a new appointment, click on the "New Appointment" button in the Home tab or press Ctrl+Shift+A.
- To schedule a meeting, click on the "New Meeting" button in the Home tab or press Ctrl+Shift+M.
- To view your schedule, click on the "Day" or "Week" button in the Home tab to switch between day and week views.
Contacts
- To open the contacts list, click on the "Contacts" button in the Navigation Pane or press Ctrl+Shift+C.
- To create a new contact, click on the "New Contact" button in the Home tab or press Ctrl+Shift+N.
- To edit a contact, select it and click on the "Edit" button in the Home tab.
- To add a contact to a group, select the contact and click on the "Add to Group" button in the Home tab.
Tasks
- To open the tasks list, click on the "Tasks" button in the Navigation Pane or press Ctrl+Shift+T.
- To create a new task, click on the "New Task" button in the Home tab or press Ctrl+Shift+N.
- To edit a task, select it and click on the "Edit" button in the Home tab.
- To add a task to a category, select the task and click on the "Add to Category" button in the Home tab.
Settings
- To access the Outlook settings, click on the "File" menu and select "Options".
- In the "Options" window, you can customize various settings, such as the display language, time zone, and email format.
- You can also set up email accounts, calendars, and contacts in the "Accounts" section.
