Recall sent email gmail

You want to recall an email you sent using Gmail!

Unfortunately, Gmail doesn't have a built-in feature to recall sent emails. Once you hit the "Send" button, the email is sent and can't be retrieved or deleted from the recipient's inbox.

However, there are a few workarounds you can try:

  1. Unsend: If you acted quickly, you can try to unsend the email. Gmail has a feature called "Undo Send" that allows you to retract an email within a short period (usually 5-10 seconds) after sending it. To enable this feature, go to your Gmail settings, click on the "General" tab, and toggle on "Enable Undo Send".
  2. Resend a new email: If you need to correct or cancel the original email, you can try sending a new email to the recipient with the correct information or a retraction message.
  3. Use a third-party add-on: There are some third-party browser extensions or add-ons available that claim to allow you to recall sent emails. However, these may not always work and may have limitations.
  4. Contact the recipient: If the email was sent to a colleague or someone you have a good relationship with, you can try contacting them directly and asking them to disregard the original email.

Remember, it's always a good idea to double-check your emails before sending them to ensure they're accurate and complete.
