Red dot on iphone voicemail

The red dot on your iPhone's voicemail icon!

The red dot indicates that you have unread voicemails. When you receive a new voicemail, the voicemail icon on your iPhone will turn red and display a number indicating the number of new voicemails you have.

Here's what you can do when you see the red dot:

  1. Check your voicemails: Tap the Voicemail icon to open the Voicemail app. You'll see a list of all your voicemails, including the new ones. You can play, delete, or manage your voicemails from here.
  2. Listen to the new voicemails: Tap on a new voicemail to listen to the message. You can also use the playback controls to rewind, fast-forward, or pause the message.
  3. Delete or manage voicemails: If you don't want to keep a voicemail, you can delete it by tapping the "Delete" button. You can also mark a voicemail as "played" or "deleted" by tapping the corresponding buttons.
  4. Clear the red dot: Once you've listened to or deleted all your new voicemails, the red dot will disappear, indicating that you've cleared your voicemail inbox.

Remember, the red dot only appears when you have unread voicemails. If you've listened to or deleted all your voicemails, the icon will return to its normal gray color.
