Remove icloud email from mail app

To remove an iCloud email account from the Mail app on your Mac or iOS device, follow these steps:

Mac:

  1. Open the Mail app on your Mac.
  2. Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Comma).
  3. Click on the "Accounts" tab.
  4. Select the iCloud email account you want to remove from the list of accounts.
  5. Click the "minus" button (-) at the bottom left corner of the window to remove the account.
  6. Click "Remove" to confirm.

iOS:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
  2. Tap on "Mail" (or "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" on older iOS versions).
  3. Tap on the iCloud email account you want to remove from the list of accounts.
  4. Tap the "Delete Account" button.
  5. Tap "Delete" to confirm.

Note: If you're using an iCloud email account and you want to keep your iCloud calendar and contacts synced, you can remove the email account from the Mail app without affecting your calendar and contacts. However, if you want to completely remove your iCloud account from your device, you'll need to go to the Settings app and tap on "iCloud" (or "iCloud" > "Account" on older iOS versions), then toggle off the switch next to "iCloud" to sign out of your iCloud account.

After removing the iCloud email account from the Mail app, you'll no longer receive emails from that account, and you won't be able to send emails from that account using the Mail app. However, you can still access your iCloud email account using a web browser or another email client.
