Report email scams to yahoo
If you've received a suspicious email that you believe is a scam, you can report it to Yahoo by following these steps:
- Forward the email to [email protected]. This is Yahoo's dedicated email address for reporting spam and abuse.
- Make sure to include the following information in the email:
- A description of the email, including any suspicious links or attachments.
- The date and time you received the email.
- Your Yahoo account username (if applicable).
- You can also report the email by using Yahoo's online reporting tool. To do this:
- Log in to your Yahoo account.
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the page.
- Select "Report abuse" from the dropdown menu.
- Follow the prompts to report the email.
Additionally, you can also report the email to other organizations that help combat spam and phishing, such as:
- The Federal Trade Commission (FTC): www.ftc.gov/complaint
- The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3): www.ic3.gov
- Your local authorities or law enforcement agency.
Remember to never respond to suspicious emails or click on links or download attachments from unknown senders, as this can compromise your account security.
