Roadrunner email setup windows live mail
A blast from the past! Windows Live Mail is an older email client, but I can still help you set up your Roadrunner email account.
Here are the steps to set up your Roadrunner email account in Windows Live Mail:
Step 1: Launch Windows Live Mail
Open Windows Live Mail on your computer. If you don't have it installed, you can download it from the Microsoft website.
Step 2: Create a new email account
In Windows Live Mail, click on "Email" in the top menu bar and select "Account Settings". Then, click on "Add a new email account".
Step 3: Enter your Roadrunner email account details
In the "Add a new email account" window, enter the following information:
- Your name: Enter your name as you want it to appear in the "From" field of your emails.
- Email address: Enter your Roadrunner email address (e.g., [yourname]@rr.com).
- Password: Enter your Roadrunner email password.
- Account type: Select "POP3" as the account type.
- Incoming mail server: Enter "mail.rr.com" as the incoming mail server.
- Outgoing mail server: Enter "mail.rr.com" as the outgoing mail server.
- Port: Set the incoming port to "110" and the outgoing port to "25".
Step 4: Set up your account
Click "Next" to continue. Windows Live Mail will attempt to connect to your Roadrunner email account. If everything is set up correctly, you should see a confirmation message.
Step 5: Set up your email account settings
In the "Account Settings" window, you can configure additional settings, such as:
- Send and receive emails: Set the frequency at which you want to send and receive emails.
- Server settings: You can adjust the server settings if you need to.
- Advanced settings: You can configure advanced settings, such as the use of SSL/TLS encryption.
Step 6: Finish setting up your account
Click "Finish" to complete the setup process. Windows Live Mail will now connect to your Roadrunner email account and allow you to send and receive emails.
