Rocketmail pop

A blast from the past!

RocketMail was a free web-based email service that was launched in 1996 by Rocket Science Group, a company founded by David S. Weekly. At the time, it was one of the first free web-based email services, and it quickly gained popularity.

To access your RocketMail account using POP (Post Office Protocol), you would need to use a third-party email client or a web-based email client that supported POP. Here's how you could do it:

  1. Set up your email client: You would need to set up your email client (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, or a web-based email client like SquirrelMail) to connect to RocketMail using POP.
  2. Enter your email address and password: You would need to enter your RocketMail email address and password in the email client.
  3. Configure the POP settings: You would need to configure the POP settings in your email client to connect to RocketMail. The settings would typically include:
    • Server: pop.rocketsciences.com
    • Port: 110 (or 995 for SSL/TLS)
    • Username: Your RocketMail email address
    • Password: Your RocketMail password
  4. Download emails: Once you've configured the POP settings, your email client would download your RocketMail emails from the server.

Note that RocketMail was acquired by Yahoo! in 1997, and the service was eventually phased out in favor of Yahoo! Mail. As a result, RocketMail is no longer available, and you won't be able to access your account using POP or any other method.
