Royal mail card sizes
Royal Mail, the postal service of the United Kingdom, has specific size requirements for cards and letters to ensure they can be efficiently processed and delivered. Here are the standard card sizes accepted by Royal Mail:
Standard Card Sizes:
- Large Letter (Large Card): Up to 240mm (9.5 inches) in length, 165mm (6.5 inches) in width, and 5mm (0.2 inches) in thickness.
- Large Parcel (Large Envelope): Up to 353mm (13.9 inches) in length, 250mm (9.8 inches) in width, and 25mm (1 inch) in thickness.
Specialty Card Sizes:
- Greetings Card: Up to 148mm (5.8 inches) in length, 105mm (4.1 inches) in width, and 15mm (0.6 inches) in thickness.
- Postcard: Up to 148mm (5.8 inches) in length, 89mm (3.5 inches) in width, and 1.5mm (0.06 inches) in thickness.
Important Notes:
- The maximum weight for all card sizes is 100g (3.5 oz).
- The maximum thickness for all card sizes is 25mm (1 inch).
- If your card exceeds these dimensions or weight, it may be considered a parcel and require a parcel postage rate.
