Royal mail no tracking number

The frustration of sending a package with Royal Mail and not having a tracking number!

Unfortunately, Royal Mail does not provide a tracking number for all of its services. Here are some scenarios where you might not receive a tracking number:

  1. Standard Parcels: Royal Mail's Standard Parcels service does not provide tracking. This service is designed for smaller, lighter items and is typically used for sending items within the UK.
  2. 2nd Class Parcels: Similar to Standard Parcels, Royal Mail's 2nd Class Parcels service does not provide tracking. This service is also designed for smaller, lighter items and is typically used for sending items within the UK.
  3. International Standard Parcels: While Royal Mail's International Standard Parcels service does provide tracking, it's not always guaranteed. If you're sending a package internationally, you may not receive a tracking number, especially if the package is sent via a non-trackable service.
  4. Special Services: Some special services, like Royal Mail's Signed For and Special Delivery services, may not provide tracking. These services are designed for items that require a signature upon delivery, but they may not include tracking.

If you're concerned about tracking your package, you can consider using Royal Mail's tracked services, such as:

  1. Tracked 24: This service provides tracking and signature upon delivery.
  2. Tracked 48: This service provides tracking and signature upon delivery, with a longer delivery time frame.
  3. International Tracked: This service provides tracking and signature upon delivery for international packages.

Keep in mind that even with tracked services, there may be instances where the tracking information is not updated in real-time. However, Royal Mail's tracked services do provide more visibility into the delivery process than their non-trackable services.
