Royal mail postage increase 2023
According to the Royal Mail's website, the following postage increases are planned for 2023:
First Class Mail
- From January 1, 2023: 95p (up from 92p in 2022)
- From April 2, 2023: 98p (up from 95p in 2023)
Second Class Mail
- From January 1, 2023: 68p (up from 65p in 2022)
- From April 2, 2023: 71p (up from 68p in 2023)
Large Letter
- From January 1, 2023: £1.03 (up from £1.00 in 2022)
- From April 2, 2023: £1.06 (up from £1.03 in 2023)
Packet and Parcels
- From January 1, 2023: £3.90 (up from £3.80 in 2022) for 100g-500g
- From April 2, 2023: £4.00 (up from £3.90 in 2023) for 100g-500g

Additionally, Royal Mail has announced that it will be introducing a new "Standard" service for letters and parcels, which will replace the current "Second Class" service. The new Standard service will have a slower delivery time than First Class, but will still be tracked and signed for. The price for the Standard service will be £1.15 for a letter and £3.90 for a parcel.
