Royal mail track and tracer
Royal Mail's Track and Trace service allows you to track the progress of your mail and parcels in real-time. Here's how it works:
How to use Royal Mail Track and Trace:
- Visit the Royal Mail website: Go to the Royal Mail website (www.royalmail.com) and click on "Track a parcel" at the top of the page.
- Enter your tracking number: Enter your tracking number (also known as a barcode) in the box provided. You can find this on the dispatch note or on the Royal Mail website.
- Select the tracking option: Choose the tracking option you want to use:
- Track and Trace: This option provides real-time updates on the progress of your parcel.
- Track only: This option provides updates on the progress of your parcel, but does not provide a detailed delivery status.
- Click "Track": Click the "Track" button to start tracking your parcel.
- View your tracking updates: You will be taken to a page that displays the current status of your parcel, including the location, date, and time of delivery.
What information can you track?
With Royal Mail Track and Trace, you can track the following information:
- Location: The current location of your parcel, including the postcode and country.
- Date and time of dispatch: The date and time your parcel was dispatched from the Royal Mail sorting office.
- Date and time of delivery: The date and time your parcel is expected to be delivered.
- Delivery status: The current status of your parcel, including "in transit", "out for delivery", or "delivered".
Tips and limitations:
- Tracking updates may take up to 24 hours to appear: It may take up to 24 hours for tracking updates to appear on the Royal Mail website.
- Tracking may not be available for all parcels: Tracking may not be available for all parcels, including those sent via Royal Mail's Special Delivery Guaranteed service.
- Tracking updates may not be available for international parcels: Tracking updates may not be available for international parcels, especially those sent to countries outside of the EU.
