Royal.mail change address
To change your address with Royal Mail, you can follow these steps:
Online
- Go to the Royal Mail website (www.royalmail.com)
- Click on "My Royal Mail" and log in to your account (if you don't have an account, you can create one)
- Click on "Update my details"
- Enter your new address details and confirm your changes
By Phone
- Call Royal Mail's customer service team on 03457 740 740 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm)
- Let them know you want to change your address and provide your new address details
In Person
- Visit your local post office or Royal Mail delivery office
- Let the staff know you want to change your address and provide your new address details
By Post
- Download and complete the Change of Address form (available on the Royal Mail website or at your local post office)
- Attach a proof of identity (such as a passport or driving licence) and a proof of address (such as a utility bill or bank statement)
- Send the form to Royal Mail, Freepost, Change of Address, Liverpool, L70 1WH
Important Notes
- You must notify Royal Mail of any changes to your address at least 3 working days before you move.
- If you're moving abroad, you'll need to contact Royal Mail's International Customer Service team on 03457 740 740.
- If you're moving to a new address within the UK, you'll need to update your address with your local council and other relevant authorities.
Remember to also update your address with other relevant parties, such as:
- Your bank and credit card providers
- Your employer and pension provider
- Your insurance companies
- Your utility providers (e.g. electricity, gas, water, internet)
- Your subscription services (e.g. Netflix, gym membership)
- Your friends and family!
