Sasktel.net email outlook

To set up your SaskTel.net email account in Outlook, follow these steps:

Step 1: Add a new account in Outlook

  1. Open Outlook and go to the "File" menu.
  2. Click on "Add Account" and then select "Manual setup or additional server types".
  3. Click "Next" and select "POP or IMAP" as the account type.
  4. Click "Next" and enter the following information:
    • Your Name: Enter your name as you want it to appear in the "From" field.
    • Email Address: Enter your SaskTel.net email address.
    • Account Type: Select "POP3" or "IMAP" depending on your preference.
    • Incoming mail server: Enter "mail.sasktel.net" as the incoming mail server.
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter "mail.sasktel.net" as the outgoing mail server.
    • User Name: Enter your SaskTel.net email address.
    • Password: Enter your SaskTel.net email password.

Step 2: Configure the account settings

  1. Click "More Settings" and then select the "Outgoing Server" tab.
  2. Check the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".
  3. Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".
  4. Click "OK" to close the "Outgoing Server" tab.
  5. Click "Next" to continue with the setup process.

Step 3: Finish the setup

  1. Outlook will test the connection to your email account. If everything is set up correctly, you should see a success message.
  2. Click "Finish" to complete the setup process.
