Second class franked mail price
A blast from the past!
In Australia, the price of second-class franked mail (also known as "franked mail" or "postage-paid mail") varied over the years. Here are some historical prices for second-class franked mail:
- 1967: 4d (4 cents)
- 1975: 6c (6 cents)
- 1984: 10c (10 cents)
- 1991: 20c (20 cents)
- 1996: 30c (30 cents)
- 2001: 40c (40 cents)
- 2006: 50c (50 cents)
- 2010: 55c (55 cents)
- 2013: 60c (60 cents)
- 2014: 70c (70 cents)
- 2019: $1.00 (100 cents)
Please note that these prices are no longer applicable, as Australia Post has discontinued the second-class franked mail service. In 2019, Australia Post introduced a new pricing structure for domestic mail, with a single rate for all letters and cards, regardless of class or franking.
