Sign into aim with gmail
A blast from the past!
To sign into AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) with your Gmail account, you'll need to use the AOL Desktop Gold software. Here's how:
- Download and install AOL Desktop Gold: Go to the AOL website and download the AOL Desktop Gold software. Follow the installation instructions to install it on your computer.
- Launch AOL Desktop Gold: Once installed, launch AOL Desktop Gold from your computer's start menu or desktop shortcut.
- Sign in with your Gmail account: Click on the "Sign In" button in the top right corner of the AOL Desktop Gold window.
- Enter your Gmail credentials: Enter your Gmail email address and password to sign in.
- Link your Gmail account to AIM: After signing in, you'll be prompted to link your Gmail account to AIM. Click "Link" to complete the process.
- Start chatting with your AIM friends: Once linked, you'll be able to access your AIM contacts and start chatting with them using the AOL Desktop Gold software.
Note: Keep in mind that AOL Desktop Gold is a legacy software, and it may not be compatible with all modern operating systems or browsers. Additionally, AIM is no longer actively maintained by AOL, and some features may not work as expected.
