Sign up for gmail with existing email

You can't directly sign up for a new Gmail account using an existing email address. Gmail requires a unique email address to create a new account. However, you can use your existing email address to recover a forgotten Gmail password or to link your existing email account to your Gmail account.

Here are the steps to link your existing email account to your Gmail account:

Method 1: Linking your existing email account to Gmail

  1. Go to the Gmail sign-up page and click on "Create account".
  2. Enter your desired username and password, and click on "Next".
  3. You will be asked to enter your existing email address. Enter your existing email address and click on "Next".
  4. You will receive a verification email from Google. Open the email and click on the verification link to confirm your email address.
  5. Once verified, you can use your existing email address to sign in to your Gmail account.

Method 2: Recovering a forgotten Gmail password using your existing email address

  1. Go to the Gmail sign-in page and click on "Forgot password".
  2. Enter your Gmail address and click on "Next".
  3. You will be asked to enter your recovery email address. Enter your existing email address and click on "Next".
  4. You will receive a verification email from Google. Open the email and click on the verification link to confirm your email address.
  5. Once verified, you can reset your Gmail password using your existing email address.

Note that linking your existing email account to your Gmail account or recovering a forgotten Gmail password using your existing email address does not mean that you are signing up for a new Gmail account. You are simply using your existing email address to access or recover your Gmail account.
