The pesky spam email account!
If you're experiencing issues with a spam email account on Gmail, here are some steps to help you deal with it:
Step 1: Report the spam account
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon () and select "See all settings."
- Scroll down to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
- Click on "Create a new filter."
- Enter the email address of the spam account in the "From" field.
- Click on "Create filter."
- Select "Report spam" and click "Create."
Step 2: Block the spam account
- Go back to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
- Click on "Create a new filter."
- Enter the email address of the spam account in the "From" field.
- Click on "Create filter."
- Select "Block" and click "Create."
Step 3: Mark emails from the spam account as spam
- Open an email from the spam account.
- Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
- Select "Mark as spam."
- Confirm that you want to mark the email as spam.
Step 4: Check your spam folder regularly
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Spam" tab.
- Check if there are any emails from the spam account in your spam folder.
- If you find any, mark them as spam and delete them.
Step 5: Consider reporting the spam account to Google
