Stanford webmail alias

Stanford University's webmail service is provided by Google Workspace (formerly G Suite). As a Stanford student, faculty, or staff member, you can create an alias in your Stanford Webmail account to manage your email addresses and simplify your email management.

Here's how to create an alias in your Stanford Webmail account:

  1. Log in to your Stanford Webmail account using your Stanford credentials.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the page and select "Settings."
  3. Scroll down to the "Accounts" section and click on "Add another email address you own."
  4. Enter the alias email address you want to create (e.g., [email protected]).
  5. Click "Next" and then "Add."
  6. You will receive a verification email at the new alias email address. Click on the verification link to confirm the alias.

Once you've created an alias, you can use it to receive emails, send emails, and manage your email accounts. You can also use the alias to forward emails to another email address or to create a filter to automatically sort emails.

Some benefits of using an alias in your Stanford Webmail account include:

Note that aliases are only available for Stanford students, faculty, and staff members. If you're a Stanford affiliate or alum, you may not be able to create an alias in your Stanford Webmail account.
