Talk talk mailzone

A blast from the past!

TalkTalk MailZone was a popular online email service provided by TalkTalk, a British telecommunications company. It was launched in 2003 and was one of the first free email services in the UK.

MailZone allowed users to create a free email address with a custom domain name, such as @talktalk.co.uk. The service offered a range of features, including:

  1. Free email accounts with a custom domain name
  2. Web-based email access
  3. POP3 and IMAP access for email clients
  4. Spam and virus protection
  5. Storage space for attachments and emails
  6. Integration with other TalkTalk services, such as broadband and phone

MailZone was popular among individuals and small businesses in the UK, as it provided a free and easy way to create a professional-looking email address. However, in 2012, TalkTalk announced that it would be discontinuing the MailZone service and replacing it with a new email service called TalkTalk Mail.

The reasons for the discontinuation of MailZone were not publicly disclosed, but it's likely that the service was no longer viable or profitable for TalkTalk. Many users were disappointed by the decision, as MailZone had become an integral part of their online presence.

Today, TalkTalk Mail is still available to TalkTalk customers, offering a range of email features and storage options. However, the nostalgia for MailZone remains strong among those who used the service in the early 2000s!
