Talktalk mail settings windows live mail
To set up TalkTalk email account in Windows Live Mail, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open Windows Live Mail
- Go to Start > All Programs > Windows Live > Windows Live Mail
Step 2: Create a new email account
- Click on "Email" in the top menu bar and select "Account Settings"
- Click on "Add a new email account"
- Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next"
Step 3: Enter your email account settings
- In the "Account type" field, select "POP3"
- In the "Incoming mail server" field, enter

- In the "Outgoing mail server" field, enter

- In the "User name" field, enter your TalkTalk email address (e.g.

) - In the "Password" field, enter your TalkTalk email password
- Click "Next"
Step 4: Configure the POP3 settings
- In the "POP3" section, enter the following settings:
- "Incoming mail server" field:
mail.talktalk.co.uk
- "Port" field:
110
- "Requires a secure connection (SSL)" checkbox: checked
- "Incoming mail server" field:
- Click "Next"
Step 5: Configure the SMTP settings
- In the "SMTP" section, enter the following settings:
- "Outgoing mail server" field:
smtp.talktalk.co.uk
- "Port" field:
25
- "Requires a secure connection (SSL)" checkbox: checked
- "Outgoing mail server" field:
- Click "Next"
Step 6: Finish the setup
- Review your settings and click "Finish"
- Windows Live Mail will now connect to your TalkTalk email account and download your emails
Tips:
- Make sure your TalkTalk email account is set up to allow POP3 access. You can do this by logging into your TalkTalk account online and going to the "Email" section.
- If you're having trouble connecting, try checking your TalkTalk email account settings online to ensure that your password is correct and that POP3 access is enabled.
- If you're still having trouble, you can try resetting your Windows Live Mail settings to their default values and then re-entering your TalkTalk email account settings.
