Terminating yahoo email account page
Here are the steps to terminate a Yahoo email account:
Note: Before you proceed, make sure you have access to the email account you want to terminate and that you have backed up any important data or emails you want to keep.
Method 1: Terminate Yahoo Email Account through Yahoo Website
- Go to the Yahoo website (www.yahoo.com) and sign in to your email account.
- Click on your profile picture or avatar in the top right corner of the page, then select "Account Info" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Account" section and click on "Close account" at the bottom of the page.
- Enter your password to confirm that you want to close the account.
- Click "Close account" to confirm that you want to terminate the account.
Method 2: Terminate Yahoo Email Account through Yahoo Mobile App
- Open the Yahoo Mail app on your mobile device.
- Tap on your profile picture or avatar in the top left corner of the screen, then select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Account" section and tap on "Close account" at the bottom of the page.
- Enter your password to confirm that you want to close the account.
- Tap "Close account" to confirm that you want to terminate the account.
What Happens After You Terminate Your Yahoo Email Account
After you terminate your Yahoo email account, the following will happen:
- Your email address will no longer be active, and you will no longer be able to access your account.
- Any emails in your inbox, drafts, and sent folders will be deleted.
- Any contacts, calendar events, and other data associated with your account will be deleted.
- Your account will be removed from the Yahoo directory, and you will no longer be able to use your email address to sign in to other Yahoo services.
