To set up TerpMail with Outlook, follow these steps:

  1. Enable IMAP: Go to your TerpMail account settings and enable IMAP. You can do this by logging in to your TerpMail account, clicking on the gear icon, and selecting "Settings". Then, click on "Accounts" and toggle the "IMAP" switch to the "On" position.
  2. Create an Outlook account: If you haven't already, create an Outlook account. You can do this by going to the Outlook website and following the sign-up process.
  3. Add TerpMail to Outlook: Open Outlook and go to the "File" menu. Click on "Add Account" and select "Manual setup or additional server types". Choose "Internet Email" and click "Next".
  4. Enter TerpMail settings: Fill in the following information:
    • Your name: Enter your name as you want it to appear in your Outlook account.
    • Email address: Enter your TerpMail email address.
    • Password: Enter your TerpMail password.
    • IMAP server: Enter imap.umd.edu.
    • IMAP port: Enter 993.
    • SMTP server: Enter smtp.umd.edu.
    • SMTP port: Enter 587.
  5. Finish setup: Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup process.
  6. Configure Outlook: Outlook will now configure your account. You may be prompted to enter your password again or confirm some settings.
  7. Sync your emails: Once the setup is complete, your TerpMail emails should start syncing with Outlook. You can check your emails by going to the "Inbox" folder in Outlook.
