Tmail tiger

I think you meant to type "Tamil Tiger"!

The Tamil Tigers, officially known as the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), were a separatist militant organization that fought for an independent Tamil state in Sri Lanka from 1976 to 2009. They were known for their guerrilla warfare tactics and suicide bombings.

The LTTE was formed in the 1970s by Velupillai Prabhakaran, a charismatic leader who sought to create a separate Tamil state in the northern and eastern regions of Sri Lanka. The group's goal was to establish an independent Tamil Eelam, which they believed would be a homeland for the Tamil people.

The LTTE was responsible for numerous attacks on civilians, military personnel, and government targets, including the assassination of several high-ranking government officials and politicians. The group also carried out suicide bombings, including the 1991 assassination of Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

The Sri Lankan government responded to the LTTE's violence with military force, and the conflict escalated into a full-scale civil war. The war lasted for nearly three decades, resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands of people and the displacement of hundreds of thousands more.

In 2009, the Sri Lankan military launched a major offensive against the LTTE, which ultimately led to the defeat of the group. Velupillai Prabhakaran was killed in the final battle, and the LTTE was declared defeated. However, the legacy of the Tamil Tigers continues to be felt in Sri Lanka, with many Tamils still seeking greater autonomy or independence from the government.
