To set up your Tufts email account, follow these steps:

Step 1: Activate Your Account

1. Go to the Tufts University website (www.tufts.edu) and click on "My Tufts" at the top right corner of the page.
2. Click on "Activate Your Account" and enter your username and password.
3. Follow the prompts to activate your account.

Step 2: Set Up Your Email Account

1. Once your account is activated, go to the Tufts University email login page (mail.tufts.edu).
2. Enter your username and password to log in to your email account.
3. You will be prompted to set up your email account. Follow the prompts to:
   • Set your password (if you haven't already)
   • Set up your email client (e.g., Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.)
   • Set up your phone or tablet to access your email account

Step 3: Configure Your Email Client

1. To set up your email client, follow the instructions below:
   • Outlook: Go to File > Add Account > Manual setup or additional server types > Internet Email. Enter your email address, username, and password. Select "POP3" as the account type and enter the following settings:
     • Incoming mail server: mail.tufts.edu
     • Outgoing mail server: mail.tufts.edu
     • Port: 110 (Incoming) and 25 (Outgoing)
   • Apple Mail: Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Add Account. Select "Other Mail Account" and enter your email address, username, and password. Select "POP3" as the account type and enter the following settings:
     • Incoming mail server: mail.tufts.edu
     • Outgoing mail server: mail.tufts.edu
     • Port: 110 (Incoming) and 25 (Outgoing)
   • Other Email Clients: Refer to your email client's documentation for specific setup instructions.

Step 4: Verify Your Account

1. Once you've set up your email account, verify your account by clicking on the verification link sent to your email account.

• Make sure to check your spam folder for any emails from Tufts University, as they may be filtered there.
