Tulane email setup page

To set up your Tulane email account, you'll need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Access the Tulane Email Setup Page

  1. Go to the Tulane University website at www.tulane.edu.
  2. Click on the "MyTulane" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Log in with your Tulane username and password.
  4. Click on the "Email" tab.

Step 2: Set Up Your Email Account

  1. Click on the "Set up email" button.
  2. Enter your email address (your Tulane username followed by "@tulane.edu").
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Click "Next" to proceed.

Step 3: Configure Your Email Client

  1. Choose your email client from the list (e.g., Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.).
  2. Follow the prompts to configure your email client with your Tulane email account.

Step 4: Set Up Your Email Client (Optional)

If you're using a desktop email client like Outlook, you'll need to set it up manually. Here are the steps:

  1. Open Outlook and go to "File" > "Add Account".
  2. Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next".
  3. Choose "POP or IMAP" and click "Next".
  4. Enter the following settings:
    • Account type: POP3
    • Incoming mail server: mail.tulane.edu
    • Outgoing mail server: mail.tulane.edu
    • Username: your Tulane username
    • Password: your Tulane password
  5. Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup.

Step 5: Verify Your Email Account

  1. Log in to your Tulane email account using the web interface (webmail.tulane.edu).
  2. Check your email inbox for a verification email from Tulane University.
  3. Follow the instructions in the email to verify your account.
