Tulane email setup personal
To set up your Tulane email account, follow these steps:
Step 1: Activate Your Account
- Go to the Tulane University website (www.tulane.edu) and click on "MyTulane" at the top right corner of the page.
- Log in with your Tulane username and password.
- Click on the "Student" or "Faculty/Staff" tab, depending on your affiliation with the university.
- Click on "Account Information" and then "Activate Your Account".
- Follow the prompts to activate your account.
Step 2: Set Up Your Email Account
- Once your account is activated, go to the Tulane email login page (email.tulane.edu).
- Log in with your Tulane username and password.
- Click on the "Settings" icon (represented by a gear) in the top right corner of the page.
- Click on "Account" and then "Settings".
- Under "Account Settings", click on "Email Address" and enter your preferred email address.
- Click "Save Changes" to save your changes.
Step 3: Set Up Your Email Client
- To set up your email client (e.g. Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.), you will need to configure it to connect to your Tulane email account.
- The settings you will need are:
- Server: outlook.office365.com
- Port: 587
- Username: your Tulane username (e.g. jsmith123)
- Password: your Tulane password
- Authentication: TLS
- Follow the instructions for your email client to set up the account.
Additional Tips
- Make sure to keep your password secure and do not share it with anyone.
- You can access your Tulane email account from any device with an internet connection.
- You can also use the Microsoft Outlook app on your mobile device to access your Tulane email account.
