Tulane email setup personal

To set up your Tulane email account, follow these steps:

Step 1: Activate Your Account

  1. Go to the Tulane University website (www.tulane.edu) and click on "MyTulane" at the top right corner of the page.
  2. Log in with your Tulane username and password.
  3. Click on the "Student" or "Faculty/Staff" tab, depending on your affiliation with the university.
  4. Click on "Account Information" and then "Activate Your Account".
  5. Follow the prompts to activate your account.

Step 2: Set Up Your Email Account

  1. Once your account is activated, go to the Tulane email login page (email.tulane.edu).
  2. Log in with your Tulane username and password.
  3. Click on the "Settings" icon (represented by a gear) in the top right corner of the page.
  4. Click on "Account" and then "Settings".
  5. Under "Account Settings", click on "Email Address" and enter your preferred email address.
  6. Click "Save Changes" to save your changes.

Step 3: Set Up Your Email Client

  1. To set up your email client (e.g. Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.), you will need to configure it to connect to your Tulane email account.
  2. The settings you will need are:
    • Server: outlook.office365.com
    • Port: 587
    • Username: your Tulane username (e.g. jsmith123)
    • Password: your Tulane password
    • Authentication: TLS
  3. Follow the instructions for your email client to set up the account.
