Ubuntu you have mail
The classic "You have mail" notification!
To check your email, you can use the mail
command in the terminal. Here's how:
- Open a terminal window.
- Type
mail
and press Enter.
This will open your email client, which is usually mutt
or mail
by default on Ubuntu.
- You'll see a list of your unread emails. You can navigate through the list using the arrow keys or the mouse.
- To read an email, select it by pressing the space bar or the Enter key.
- To reply to an email, press
r
orR
(capital R). - To delete an email, press
d
orD
(capital D). - To quit the email client, press
q
orQ
(capital Q).
Alternatively, you can use a graphical email client like Thunderbird or Evolution. To install these clients, run the following commands:
sudo apt-get install thunderbird
(for Thunderbird)sudo apt-get install evolution
(for Evolution)
Once installed, you can launch the client from the Applications menu or by searching for it in the Dash.
