Undo send mac mail

The frustration of accidentally sending an email!

On a Mac, you can undo sending an email in Mail app by following these steps:

Method 1: Undo Send (if enabled)

  1. Go to Mail > Preferences > General
  2. Check the box next to "Undo Send" (it's usually unchecked by default)
  3. Set the "Undo Send" delay to a time that works for you (e.g., 5 seconds)

Now, if you accidentally send an email, you can undo it within the set time frame. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Mail app
  2. Click on the "Undo Send" button in the top-right corner of the window (it looks like a clock)
  3. The email will be recalled, and you'll have the option to edit or delete it

Method 2: Use the "Recall" feature (if available)

  1. Go to the Mail app
  2. Find the email you want to recall in your Sent mailbox
  3. Right-click (or Control-click) on the email and select "Recall"
  4. If the recipient has not yet read the email, you'll see a confirmation message saying "The email has been recalled"

Method 3: Use a third-party app or plugin

There are several third-party apps and plugins available that can help you recall sent emails, such as:

Please note that these methods may not always work, especially if the recipient has already read the email or if the email has been deleted from their inbox. Additionally, some email providers may not support recall or undo send features.
