Us postal service forward mail change address
The United States Postal Service (USPS) allows you to forward your mail to a new address for a limited time. Here's how to do it:
Online Forwarding
- Go to the USPS website (usps.com) and click on "Change Your Address" under the "Move" tab.
- Fill out the online form with your old and new addresses, as well as your name and other relevant information.
- Pay the forwarding fee (currently $1.05 per month for 6 months or $1.20 per month for 12 months).
- Review and submit the form.
In-Person Forwarding
- Visit your local post office and ask to forward your mail.
- Fill out PS Form 3575, "Address Change Forwarding Service Request" (available at the post office or online).
- Pay the forwarding fee (currently $1.05 per month for 6 months or $1.20 per month for 12 months).
- Review and submit the form.
By Mail Forwarding
- Download and complete PS Form 3575 from the USPS website or pick one up at your local post office.
- Attach a check or money order for the forwarding fee (currently $1.05 per month for 6 months or $1.20 per month for 12 months).
- Mail the completed form and payment to:

Important Notes
- Forwarding mail is only available for a limited time (6 months or 12 months).
- You can only forward mail to a domestic address (not international).
- You must have a valid forwarding address.
- The USPS will not forward mail that is undeliverable or has a forwarding fee that is not paid.
- You can cancel your forwarding service at any time by contacting the USPS or visiting your local post office.
