Use windows live mail with yahoo
A blast from the past! Windows Live Mail (WLM) is a discontinued email client from Microsoft, but you can still use it to access your Yahoo email account. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you set up WLM to work with Yahoo:
Prerequisites:
- You have Windows Live Mail installed on your computer.
- You have a Yahoo email account (e.g., @yahoo.com, @ymail.com, or @rocketmail.com).
Step 1: Create a Yahoo account if you don't have one
If you don't have a Yahoo email account, create one by going to the Yahoo sign-up page and following the prompts.
Step 2: Set up Windows Live Mail
- Open Windows Live Mail on your computer.
- Click on "Email" in the top menu bar and select "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu.
- Click on "Add an email account" and select "Manual setup or additional server types".
- Choose "POP" or "IMAP" as the account type (IMAP is recommended for syncing emails across devices).
Step 3: Enter your Yahoo email account settings
- In the "Account Settings" window, enter the following information:
- Your Name: Enter your name as you want it to appear in the "From" field of your emails.

- Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
Step 5: Test your Yahoo email account in WLM
- Click on the "Send/Receive" button in WLM to test your connection.
- If everything is set up correctly, you should see your Yahoo emails in WLM.
