Uspd hold mail
USPS Hold Mail is a service offered by the United States Postal Service (USPS) that allows you to temporarily hold your mail at the post office while you're away from your address. Here's how it works:
How to request USPS Hold Mail:
- Go to the USPS website (www.usps.com) and click on "Hold Mail" under the "Mail & Ship" tab.
- Fill out the online form with your name, address, and the dates you'd like to hold your mail.
- You can also request hold mail by visiting your local post office in person or by calling 1-800-275-8777.
What happens when you request USPS Hold Mail:
- The post office will hold your mail at the local post office for the specified dates.
- You can pick up your held mail at the post office during business hours.
- If you're unable to pick up your mail, you can have it forwarded to a different address or have it returned to sender.
Fees:
- There is no fee to request USPS Hold Mail.
- If you want to have your held mail forwarded to a different address, there may be a fee (currently $1.05 per piece).
Tips:
- You can request USPS Hold Mail up to 30 days in advance.
- You can only hold mail for a maximum of 30 days.
