Vanderbilt email android

To set up your Vanderbilt email account on your Android device, follow these steps:

Step 1: Enable IMAP

  1. Log in to your Vanderbilt email account on a web browser.
  2. Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner.
  3. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Scroll down to the "Accounts" section.
  5. Click on "IMAP" and toggle the switch to the "On" position.

Step 2: Set up your Android device

  1. On your Android device, go to the "Settings" app.
  2. Scroll down and select "Accounts" or "Email".
  3. Tap "Add account" or "New account".
  4. Select "Other" or "Other (POP3/IMAP)".
  5. Enter your Vanderbilt email address and password.
  6. Tap "Next" or "Continue".
  7. Select "IMAP" as the account type.
  8. Enter the following settings:
    • IMAP server: imap.vanderbilt.edu
    • Port: 993
    • Security type: SSL/TLS
    • Username: your Vanderbilt email address
    • Password: your Vanderbilt email password
  9. Tap "Next" or "Continue".
  10. Choose whether you want to sync your email, contacts, and calendar.
  11. Tap "Finish" or "Done".

Step 3: Set up your email client

  1. Open the email client app on your Android device (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, or Email).
  2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) or the gear icon () to access the settings.
  3. Select "Add account" or "New account".
  4. Select "Other" or "Other (POP3/IMAP)".
  5. Enter your Vanderbilt email address and password.
  6. Tap "Next" or "Continue".
  7. Select "IMAP" as the account type.
  8. Enter the following settings:
    • IMAP server: imap.vanderbilt.edu
    • Port: 993
    • Security type: SSL/TLS
    • Username: your Vanderbilt email address
    • Password: your Vanderbilt email password
  9. Tap "Next" or "Continue".
  10. Choose whether you want to sync your email, contacts, and calendar.
  11. Tap "Finish" or "Done".
