Volusion email server settings
Volusion is an e-commerce platform that provides a built-in email system for sending and receiving emails related to your online store. However, if you prefer to use your own email server or a third-party email service, you can configure Volusion to use your custom email server settings. Here are the steps to configure Volusion email server settings:
Step 1: Go to Store Settings
Log in to your Volusion store and go to Store Settings > Email Settings.
Step 2: Enable Custom Email Server
Click on the Custom Email Server toggle button to enable it.
Step 3: Enter Your Email Server Settings
Enter the following information:
- SMTP Server: Enter the hostname or IP address of your email server.
- SMTP Port: Enter the port number used by your email server (usually 25, 587, or 2525).
- SMTP Username: Enter the username used to authenticate with your email server.
- SMTP Password: Enter the password used to authenticate with your email server.
- SMTP Encryption: Select the encryption method used by your email server (None, SSL, or TLS).
- From Email Address: Enter the email address that will be used as the sender's email address.
- From Name: Enter the name that will be displayed as the sender's name.
Step 4: Test Your Email Server Settings
Click the Test Email Server button to test your email server settings. Volusion will send a test email to the email address you specified in the From Email Address field.
Step 5: Save Your Changes
Once you've tested and confirmed that your email server settings are correct, click the Save button to save your changes.
