Warhammer royal mail
A fascinating topic!
Warhammer is a popular tabletop miniature wargame created by Games Workshop, and Royal Mail is the UK's postal service. In 2019, Royal Mail partnered with Games Workshop to release a series of special edition stamps and collectibles featuring iconic Warhammer characters and creatures.
The Warhammer stamps were designed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Warhammer Fantasy Battles game and featured six different designs:
- The Chaos Lord on a Daemonic Mount
- The Bloodthirster, a Daemon of Khorne
- The Dragon Oghmor, a mighty dragon
- The Empire's General, a human warrior
- The High Elf Prince, a noble elf
- The Skaven Warlord, a rodent-like warrior
Each stamp was printed in a limited edition of 2,000 and came with a unique certificate of authenticity. The stamps were also available as a set of six, along with a special edition Warhammer-themed postmark.
In addition to the stamps, Royal Mail also released a range of Warhammer-themed collectibles, including:
- First Day Covers: Special edition envelopes featuring the Warhammer stamps and a unique postmark.
- Stamp Sheets: Sheets of stamps featuring the Warhammer designs.
- Presentation Packs: Special edition packs containing the stamps, along with a booklet about the Warhammer universe.
- Miniature Figurines: Limited edition figurines featuring characters from the Warhammer universe.
These collectibles were a huge hit among Warhammer fans and collectors, and many of them have become highly sought after by enthusiasts.
